I'm talking now
Hey art lovers,
Good news, and bad news. Bad news, I am dealing with some major increase in pain, that concerns my disability, and arthritis in my wrists have forced me to make some choices. Surgery is in the future, but I have dental needs that must be taken care of first, and that will be in the near future. I am not on my computer very often because when I have to do a lot of typing, my wrists flare up, and I can't draw. Even drawing causes some problems, which is why I have to make choices. Good news, I may have found help with photographs of my art works. I will know tomorrow if that will work out, or not. There will be a few sample pictures taken in the process. I have been drawing, long hours of drawing. A color pencil drawing. It's the secret piece that I had mentioned in one of my bog posts. I'm working hard on it because I want to include it with the rest of my work that is still waiting for a photograph. I want to offer it up for sale, as the original, and save my photographs for prints. I already have my next piece in mind once my current one is complete. This current drawing is a near copy of a drawing I kept for myself, and hangs on my living room wall. It has always been popular with anyone that see's it. It's a good feeling to see people stand in front of it, and just stare at it awhile. That's the latest. Happy Monday! Janet

I have a request for a print of my pencil watercolor, Waiting For You. I went to get it from my closest storage, and it's not there. I know it's here, but I do have a busy room here, and have several storage places. It will probably be in the last place I look for it. My place is as organized as I can get it.
I have brought out the other art works I'm getting ready to add to my site, so they will be available now, for printing. Most of them I have already shared but are dated by my camera, and I need photos of them ready for printing! Oh fun! More photographs! Also, I have this camera tripod, now. It's only about 12 inches high. but a very flexible thing. I tried some pictures with it last night. Having a steady camera is much nicer to work with. A friend suggested I take my photo's outside when it is cloudy. (For my horses drawing) It's been cloudy days here too, but always some tad bit of sprinkling, or wind to damper the days chance of my picture taking. Soooo, I have made some choices to try. I'm having my room changed, so my largest window is accessible. It has great light from it during the day. I don't care for daylight in my room when I am sick, so I have a heavy curtain, and furniture in front of the window. I have to get help for moving the heavy things out of the way. Since weather here is just too spotty, when I need it the most. I don't want to waste anymore time on waiting. I will get the area cleaned out, and get help to move everything else. Yeah, going to get some good light back into my room for photographs! Have a great day! Janet UPDATE: Still working on that photograph. The light keeps bouncing, covering most of the art. I think I'm going to ask for help with it. If I can get someone to help me move it outside, and hold it down so it doesn't fly away in the wind, I might get a better picture. It's a large drawing, so I can't move it out there myself because I need to get through the doorway with my chair, and if I'm trying to hold onto the artwork, it would probably cause it some damage in the process. The last thing I want to do is harm it. I've been told that natural daylight would keep the light from the camera from bouncing off the artwork.
Since a few have expressed wanting to see the completed work of the wild horses, I thought that I would try get a photo for them, but it won't be printable, since I'm using the same old camera. It's a large drawing, so getting everything in with one photograph will be a challenge. I'll be working on that. I'll of course, post it when it's up. With some new changes to my website, I hope to attract more viewers, an buyers. I was able to get a few different widgets on, but changed my mind for a larger, easier accessible element, where there is a nice list of my art works for sell, just like if you were on my print site pages. There are two places on the front page. I may change the location again, but for now they are at least up, and ready to check out. Hello Art Lovers,
I was trying to add a new feature to the front page, a widget. One that works like a mini slide where anyone can click on a picture of one of my drawings that would take you to the same drawing on my print site. That makes it much easier to reach all the purchasing info of that certain picked art work. The code link is not showing as a widget. It's coming up as an error link instead, so I had to remove it. I'm sure it's likely because of my virus protection system. Sometimes, it just doesn't let me work my computer the way I need to without contacting the company to fix it. I still can't click on my own links on my website. I've tried to change my virus system with a new protection site but they just don't work as well as the one I keep returning to. Yet, this problem persists. I really want that widget. I see how well they work on other websites, so I think it would be nice to have. These are the times I wish I could just be an artist, and that would be enough. I want that widget, so I better gt back to work on that. I hope you are doing well, and have a wonderful weekend. Peace I finished the drawing, and it's uploaded on my Project Page. It has the dreaded bounce of shine. I'll work for a better photo, as usual. I am waiting to afford a good camera purchase. Prices are so high. Until that day, I can't do much else but keep trying for that one perfect photo shot.
Hope you like my Tiger art! Much love. Peace To better find my work on google and other search engines, I have made some small changes to the front page with my first added artworks. Smaller pictures as well, for better protection. Anyone can see them much larger on my print site.
There are now specific titles of what kind of art work is on that section of the page. This will make it easier to find a specific type of artwork anyone might be searching for. I will do the same to the rest of the pages showing art that is for sale, or will be once they are better pictures to upload for printing. I've been thinking these changes will be more accessible in finding my work on the internet. Just uploaded a little peak of my tiger drawing. I was sick most of the day, so I didn't add any new work to it. I'm feeling better. I slept most of Thursday away. I made the picture pretty small, but then it isn't finished, quite yet. I'll be working on it today, once I have a few hours nap. Can't wait to get it done! Going on my printing site right away. If I can manage some kind of picture of the wild horses drawing, so anyone that wants to can at least see the drawing until I am able to get a good camera to take a proper photograph for printing. It's a larger work of art. I may have to do it in sections. We shall see!
Have a great Friday, everyone. Peace I'm just about done with a graphite drawing of a tiger portrait. Size 11x14 inches, so I can scan it for transfer. My scanner is working, but the new picture system I added, and my windows system tend to be a bit of a drag to deal with. I had to learn how to make them work together.
So, I've been drawing, while I wait on purchase of a new camera to add my larger drawings to my site. The latest is a graphite drawing of a Bengal Tiger. Just about done with it. I've put in about 20 hours of work on it, so far. It's nice to work on something different. I've always liked tigers, and know many people do, so I will be sure to add this latest work onto my printing site. If I keep at it, I will share in a day or so. Hope everyone is well. Janet Just uploaded a new kitten photo on my print site. It's "Sleeping Tommy Style". in the Of Feline Persuasions gallery of photographs. I transferred all my pictures to a new system. A lot of organizing to do, but there are duplicates that need to be removed for space. In the mean time, I'm adding new photographs. Either here first, or in FAA first, I can't say. I'm working with a huge storage of photographs. The only new ones I've added are of myself. My scanner is very twitchy right now. It only works when it wants to, so I'm going through photographs I needed to deal with months ago, while I have the time. I will be adding a wildlife gallery of photo's that are of critters around our community, along with more of my cats. So many people love cats, why not? Keeping myself busy.
