Since it looks like I'm not going to be able to return to my telephone internet account for an unknown amount of time, because of the way they keep pushing me to bundle all services, I have chosen to take a chance with using my tablet. I only have a total of 4G with 2G in overage of data costs. It's expensive, yes, and I use my device for multiple purposes. What I do will be minimal on my art site here because of that. In the year I've been away, I have been busy with creating. unfortunately, this device does not take very good photos, so, I doubt I can share them on my fine art America print site. I will look for a way to do so. I can certainly share my work here, and might be able to offer up original sales with a Pay Pal account. I will share artworks soon.
Color Pencil Drawing.
Just added a few of my latest artworks. Next to work on, are better photo's for prints. This original I plan to sell, once the print photo is available. All new art is added on My Projects Page. More will be added soon.
Sorry, it took so long. Another close member of my family ended up in the hospital. That is where my attention has been for months now. With my family. I still manage to get some creating done, but getting to my main computer is tough since I took all my things out of storage, so I could keep internet access. It's very crowded around here. I do miss visiting my net friends, but my family always come first.
Hope everyone is prepared for the summer! I know I'm not! I am not a summertime girl, at all...
Have a happy summer, anyway. Winks.
A few things went down over this long month of May. A family member I depend on got sick, lost way too much weight. Finally ended up in surgery, and is now recovering. It was a scary time, for the both of us. I've been doing what I can to help myself, but it's been a struggle! This place is not disability accessible, so everything is too high, or too low. Very happy it seems to be over, and soon our lives will turn back to some normalcy. I think I might need a vacation after this is over!
I am trying to cope with lost feeling in a few fingers, and part of my hand. Pretty sure it's nerve damage. I'm right handed, so I can still draw! Typing? I'm doin it, but nice, and slo-o-o-w.
Well, I did get some art done while I was away. Lots of portrait sketches. A new color pencil mountain drawing. A much larger California Poppies color pencil drawing. I have been working on that one for about 2 weeks. Maybe another week and it will be done as well. A little Spring pick me up. :)
I started a new theme. It's all in graphite, but in the future, I will likely draw, or paint a few in color. I don't want to share any more about it, until I have them uploaded onto my website. I will get that project going here as soon as possible. I have to update all my websites, and internet accounts. There is much to do!
Have a great hump day!
As much as I love the winter, it was a very dry one in my home state. I pray, that next winter will yield to our thirsty climate. It's so beautiful right now, as the leaves started sprouting on the many trees around my complex. The already fading blossoms still fill the air with nice flowery smells, as the breezes wind there way through.
Health issues? Eh, let's not go there. I'm in a great mood, and don't want to spoil it. ;)
So, I mentioned in my last entry that I was doing a lot of aimless sketching. Mostly portraits, but I did make a few into graphite drawings. I even did a new color pencil drawing. She doesn't know it, but I was thinking of my sister, Nancy, as I worked on it. That was a few weeks ago. It will be shared with my sketches. I still have a few drawings, that were done from last year, that I need to upload.
My life is a lot busier because of health, (stuffs,) but I will find the time to get it all done .
Right now I'm in the middle of trying to get some spring cleaning done. Dust is forever, it seems, and I'm seeing way too many bunnies hanging around.
I hope everyone is enjoying their week-end, spring breaks, or whateva ya all be doin out there.
I'm trying to get myself back into the swing of things. My wrist feels better, so I'm just sketching for practice, Mostly. Just a lotta portraits. No one I know. People often ask me who is that portrait of? I answer no one. Just practicing with faces. Aimless, uninspired creating.
I have to buy myself a new camera. I am going to put one on a little payment plan. I hope. My camera still works, it just doesn't have what I need to take great pics of my works. I've already mentioned this issue enough times. I've just decided, the camera problem keeps holding me back, and I must find a way to purchase a better one for my art needs. Going to seek some suggestions, research it out, for the right type of camera, then put it on a payment plan. Sounds like a plan, anyway. Don't have any better ideas, so I will go with this one.
I am still trying to heal from a bad skin infection, and most days it leaves me with no energy, but everyday is a new day. I get up, and try again.
Have a best day ever,
I know I've been away a long time. It took just over a month to get my computer back from repairs. Most of my bookmarks are gone, and most of my older pictures, and photograph files. My back ups managed to save my art works from the last two months of 2013. I'm grateful for that.
I was also being treated for cellulitis, which is a deep tissue skin infection. It took a long time for the meds to take some real effect. I stayed out of the hospital, but had to stay in rest to keep my infected leg elevated, and on ice. I am still on treatment for several more weeks. It was my wrist that I also had challenges with. I had a hard time with writing, and typing. Much has improved over all, but not quite safe to getting back to my usual routine of things. I only started sketching again last week. I have more healing time yet, as there are the problems with respiratory issues of late, but I am going to be back to working on my art again, soon.
I hope everyone enjoyed the winter holidays. I enjoyed visiting with family over Christmas.
I think 2014 will be a much better year. My wish is for BETTER health!
I'll catch up in blog again, as soon as I can.
Happy New Year to all, and god bless.
My computer is going into the repair shop today. It will be about a week before I see it again. I tried over night to upload my holiday greeting card art but my scanner won't work for me with this messed up computer. Time to put it to sleep. Have a great weekend.
My computer was hijacked. I'm about to put it in repairs. Everything has been missing. My work, my files, my windows account. I worked my way back in through my back ups, but I still can not access my administrative rights, or my windows account. It's been a long couple of weeks.
I'm also laid up because I have to keep my legs elevated, and one on ice for cellulitis. I've been taking treatment for that, and it is very slow healing, but it is healing, and so far keeping out of the hospital.
I don't think I will be without my computer long, but my holiday plans with my work, and websites, may not happen at all. If the repairs are quick, I might make it with that small window of time before the holidays are here.
Have a good week.
New art has been added throughout my Project Art Page. Also, added sketches, drawings from my art journal. They are in my Private Collection Art Page. Must scroll down to see them. My final version of Impatien Dreams is just past the last picture I added months ago of my Impatien Dreams pictures, to my Project Art page. I think it's real close to the photograph I want for adding it to my print site. Will continue to work on getting that perfect photograph.
Just a note to add: There was half an hour or so in delay in getting the photographs uploaded, because my browser suddenly decided to crash on me, and would not let me back in. Sorry about that! I needed to update everything because I haven't been on my computer for nearly a week. I'm still healing with the cellulitis. Very slow to heal but there is much improvement thus far.
Have a happy hump day!
I have some photographs, and I'm about to upload them. Some are my latest pieces, and some come from my large art journal/scrapbook.
I think I can add one of them to my art print site. We shall see, eh?
